Morning!
We’re keeping Ishu home another day today.
He’s mostly better and hasn’t had a fever since Thursday. But, because of his lack of appetite, he’s pretty low energy (and, if you know my kid, you KNOW it’s out of character haha).
We did a day long art project on Friday to keep us busy.
He’s very proud.
We also made a paper plate fish. And some starfish. Which has now inspired him to add a sea creature to his wall each day. We’re gonna have a whole aquarium over here eventually.
On Friday night, when Ankur got home, the kiddos cuddled up with him and watched The Fox and The Hound. While I took some much needed solo time reading this book.
On Saturday morning, I met up with some neighbors at Cupitol for coffee.
In the afternoon, I took Ishu with me to run some errands. Like my eyebrows, Target, returning the cable box. (He likes the eyebrow place ’cause they give him lollipops).
I really love getting any and all 1:1 time with him. It feels so different when it’s just the two of us. I mean, OBVIOUSLY, I love my little Riyu but I think I’m starting to understand why parents try to do 1:1 time with their kiddos. It feels so different and special.
On Sunday, the four of us went to go see Disney on Ice at the United Center.
I was shocked they didn’t include Encanto in their line-up. Ankur laughed at me and said people don’t obsess over Encanto the way I do. And I just don’t think that’s true. I’m genuinely shocked it wasn’t included.
My favorites were Lion King and Moana. I’m really impressed with whoever is in charge of costume design for this stuff. It’s hard to do justice to some of the animation. But, MAN, the zebras and giraffes and flamingos. Wow.
Ishu said his favorite was Wish. And, I was just ‘eh’ about it but probably cause I haven’t seen it.
Riyu fell asleep during The Little Mermaid but woke up during Moana and was really pumped about the massive boulder during the Frozen set. Obviously. “BALL!”
Now we get another day to take it easy.
And hopefully a little walk outside because temps are going to be mid-40s. WARM.
Okay, I’m off!
Have a good one! 🙂
