Happy Monday!
It’s in the 20s, but it’s sunny.
I will take it.
How was everyone’s Super Bowl Sunday? Were you rooting for the 49ers? For the Chiefs? For Taylor Swift?
I was in it for the snacks and Usher.
AND ALICIA KEYS. WHAT A FUN SURPRISE.
I’m experiencing a non-alcohol hangover from one too many snacks and not enough sleep. Worth it though.
Before I get the day started, I’ll share a quick weekend recap!
Friday
Our family took a mental health day! The sun was out. Temps reached 57 degrees. Scooting and outdoor time was essential.
We just needed a GOOD DAY like that. We’ve been stuck in our routine of work/school during the day, Uno all evening/night. Ha. Which isn’t bad. I’m glad we found something that Ishu loves to do. But, man oh man, this kid comes alive when he gets to spend a significant amount of time outside. And we just needed that collective experience together, haha.
Saturday
We went and made some Valentines day crafts. And got some wiggles out with some friends. We had plans to do an earlier Costco trip, but the revolving door of naps (one kid in, one kid out, one kid in, one kid out), made it so that we went for a near-closing Costco trip. Fewer samples, but maybe fewer people. Still crowded.
Ishu, of course, had the time of his life because his brother joined him in the cart for the first time. What a big kid.
Sunday
And then most of Sunday was spent cleaning our apartment. We don’t usually have a lot of company, so we don’t feel motivated to deep clean often. With two kids, WHAT’S THE POINT?
But it felt nice to have some motivation to tackle some to-dos and clean up the place.
Ankur’s co-residents came over to watch the game (read: concert). We ate yummy appetizers and counted the number of times we saw the camera flip over to Taylor. (Not enough, in my opinion. I just wanted a camera IN the box, y’know?).
And that’s it!
Here we are. Another week. I’ve got the almost-6-month old boss yelling at me saying he’s over his playmat and he’s ready for his first nap of the day.
Oh, to be my own boss for a day.
Ha.
HAVE A GOOD ONE.
