Morning!
I slept in Ishu’s room last night, which means that I got more quality sleep than I usually do. 10pm to 6am without being woken up by Riyu.
I haven’t been on here since early last week because my mama came to town and we’ve been busy.
All the other grandparents get here on Wednesday and it’s a surprise for Ishu.
Can’t wait for him to realize he gets to be with all four grandparents on Christmas Day.
This past weekend, we had a Cookie Exchange party at my friend, Meggan’s place. The pistachio cookies were a personal fav for me. (To be fair, a professional chef made those. So it makes sense).
But Meggan also made some really yummy appetizers and the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had.
We also got to have dinner with some friends on Saturday night, thanks to the babysitting services of one special Nani. She took care of Riyu while we went out to Lincoln Park so we could actually talk instead of tail a little one-year old around at night. Ha.
Yesterday, we met up with some friends to watch Moana 2. (Thanks, again, to NANI for taking care of Riyu, allowing for some really special time with Ishaan).
It was good, but #1 still has my heart. (Also the music was better in #1 because LMM).
I had my mom watch Nobody Wants This and she, like me, zoomed through all 10 episodes. The next thing I want her to watch is Ted Lasso or Shrinking. Ankur and I are in the middle of Season 2 for Shrinking and loving it so very much.
I’ve also been reading. I just finished this book and finally starting this book (I wanted to read it before watching the movie!).
Can’t believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve already. Feels like I captured this video just a few weeks ago. Those little feet are definitely running after big brother all the time.
Speaking of, I hear big brother awake now.
I’m off to go snuggle.
“Snuggling is my favorite,” Ishu says.
Mine too.
