HAPPY MONDAY!
Our kids woke up nice and early this morning, but it was actually kinda nice. Because Ishu was all ready to go and under the stroller at 7:15am and I was like, “Bud, we don’t actually have to leave for another 45 minutes. Should we play a game or something?”
And he was SO EXCITED about that.
So we built a Magnatile tower together and that felt really fun for him (and for me) to have the extra time in the morning. And not feel so rushed rushed rushed.
We had a great weekend over here.
After our crazy Friday afternoon, we had a really great evening together. And then on Saturday, we took the city bus to the farmer’s market in Lincoln Park.
We bought some apples, got some breakfast, enjoyed the sunshine. The fall colors in Lincoln Park are just so freaking gorgeous and I’m so happy we took advantage of the beautiful day.
Saturday afternoon, the sisters and I got to do a fun cooking class. The experience was gifted to us for Rakhi by Tarun Bhaiya. And it was such a fun idea!
We got to learn how to make pasta from a sweet Nonna in Italy. We made a pesto sauce and made our own pasta from scratch. (It wasn’t as hard as I thought it’d be! I mean, I’m not trying to give up on my boxed pasta life, but this is a fun thing to know how to do!).
It was nice to be able to get the experience with the sisters – even though we’re all in separate places. It felt like a fun way to stay connected. Such a great gift, Bhaiya. <3
And then on Sunday, we were originally planning to go to this pop-up Diwali event. But, instead went to the Children’s Museum because it felt easier. And we needed easy.
A pretty happy weekend, if you ask me.
Hope you had a good one as well 🙂
