Scenes from the Weekend: 11/10/25
We had our first little bit of snow over the weekend and I was feeling equal parts giddy and HORRIFIED. Because I have not quite put away the summer clothes and not quite pulled out the full winter gear. I am still very much in early-fall mode and I’m not ready to let it go just yet.
But today, Riyu was screaming uncontrollably and I think it’s officially time to break out the cozy ganoosh and some mittens because this kid ain’t having it.
Last night, we were walking back from a friend’s building and he was crying when we stuck him in the stroller, crying when we took him out, and only stopped once we stepped into Walgreens. That’s when we realized…he’s just COLD.
And honestly? I don’t blame him.
I’m not cut out for this either.
Time to swap out my black leggings for my fleece-lined black leggings. Ha.
Aside from the cold, we had such a nice weekend. Josh was visiting Chicago for the first time! He’s got a conference in Michigan this week and did a little pre-trip here. So we got to spend some good quality time with him. You know someone’s made it big when my 2-year old voluntarily gives them a leg hug. So, Uncle Josh is officially in the big leagues.
On today’s agenda, we’ve gotta get Ishu’s flu shot. And then, since we still can (before he starts traditional school), maybe a little post-shot hooky to go do something fun.
Here’s a photo dump of our weekend fun! Hope you all had a happy one too!
