Scenes from the Weekend: 1/6/25

Good morning! It is freeze-your-face-off cold outside.

We just got home from dropping Ishu off to school and picking up a few groceries. And I think we’re going to stay put for the rest of the day. At least ’til pick up.

We didn’t do a whole lot this weekend.

Two trips to the Children’s Museum. And a trip to the library.

Some yoga and reading for me.

Home Alone 1 and 2 for the family.

And playing with this new puzzle that Ishu got for Christmas. (It’s fun for adults too).

Ishu starts gymnastics this week so that’ll be a nice way to get some energy out.

I just started our book club book last night. And I kind of regret starting it before bedtime because, obviously, I didn’t end up going to bed ’til close to midnight. But I am already SO INVESTED.

We also had dinner at Navy Pier yesterday. Which was fine because Ishu was starving after we left the museum (and I wanted to get him food FAST because if you know my son, you know he never expresses that he’s hungry. So he must have been RAVENOUS). But this week I gotta get my butt in the kitchen and cook all the things.

So now I’m gonna scroll the Internet for some recipe inspiration.
