Good morning, good morning.
It’s gonna be a COLD week here in Chicago. No snow, but low temperatures. But also looks like we’re going to get some sunshine! You win some, you lose some.
We had a fun, relatively quiet weekend.
On Friday, I kept Ishu home from school to rest up and get a good solid nap in. (He had been up a lot in the middle of the night coughing).
We did every single puzzle that we own, built all the things with MagnaTiles and have now become newly obsessed with the PBS show, Wild Kratts. We also Facebook Portaled with the entire family.
On Saturday, we got together with one of Ishu’s classmates and his family for a playdate. We ordered some pizza, ate some cookies, made some basil brownies, and had toys thrown all across the living room.
It was really special and we hope to do it again soon!
We were all exhausted from the toddler playtime and Ankur and I fell asleep with Ishu at 8pm. Ha.
On Sunday, Ankur and Ishu let me sleep in and then we all made a trip to Costco.
Ishu loves the free samples almost as much as we do. He also loves all the books. We can’t seem to walk out of Costco without buying him at least one book, if not more.
Yesterday’s purchase was this massive dinosaur book that we’ve already read twice.
And now it’s my personal goal to not set foot into a grocery store all week long. Maybe even next week. (Ishu’s school is right by a grocery store. And not just any grocery store, but WHOLE FOODS. So, it feels like it’s real easy to swing in and get a couple things we need, only to have the total bill be…well…expensive).
So, yes. Fridge is stocked, pantry is full, we are all set.
And that’s it. Not too much packed into this weekend, but still a really good one. 🙂
Hope you have a happy Monday!
