Good morning!
I probably don’t have much time before one of the kids wake up so this’ll be a quick photo dump of the past couple of days.
It’s cold. Freezing. And yet life goes on.
There are birthday parties to go to, pizza clubs to attend, friends to visit with, and kiddos who have endless energy and need time outdoors (despite the below freezing temps).
Though, I will say.
Ishu’s school is in session today even though it’s MLK Day.
I was debating whether or not I wanted to keep him home since it’s holiday programming.
But I saw the temperatures (hello, FEELS LIKE -11 DEGREES OUTSIDE) and that tipped the scale. So he’s staying home.
I’m not THAT resilient to this cold weather. I am, after, all, from CA.
We will have a busy day at home.
Complete with painting rocks, V-Day crafts, and some fort building.
This weekend, we traveled long and far to Norridge for Victor’s birthday party. It was at an indoor play center and Ishu had a ton of fun celebrating his friend.
I also went to my first pizza club yesterday at Five Star Bar.
It’s a fun way to try new pizza. An even more fun way to meet new people. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. It was a good way to spend Sunday afternoon!
We also said our official goodbye to Auntie Sylvie who is now in DC. We will miss her so much and are also equally excited for this new job she landed with CNN.
Ankur and I watched Hunger Games (my first time) and we started the second one last night.
I finished this book and started this one and this one. (Because why not have multiple books going at one time?).
Okay, I gotta cut this short because there are Cheerios all over my floor.
Good luck to me.
BYE!
