Good morning!
We’re hangin’ with Ms. Rachel this morning because I just need a Monday reset where nobody is asking me to play with them, feed them, hold them, see them.
God bless you, Ms. Rachel.
It is frigid outside this morning. And was pretty cold this weekend. BUT, we did make it out of the house for a little bit each day. Officially pulled out the snowsuits and snowball tools.
It blows my mama brain every time I see Riyu wearing something of Ishu’s.
Like this snowsuit. Ishu was gifted this snowsuit by the Hodels for his first birthday – a few months before we moved to Chicago. Here’s a blog post from three years ago that has a picture of Ishu in it. IT’S SO WILD TO ME HOW QUICKLY TIME FLIES WHEN YOU ARE A GROWNUP.
We went to the MCA Family Day event. Attempted to make a puppet. But we were more excited about the accessories and costumes for the puppet. Afterward, I dropped the kids off home so Riyu could nap and I could go to a book club meeting at Time Out Market.
We also watched Home Alone 3. Ishu loves watching the Home Alone series because he thinks all the traps he sets are so dang funny. I definitely enjoy watching Ishu watch Home Alone more than I enjoy watching Home Alone. Ha.
I also finished this book for our Streeterville book club.
A five-star read for me for SURE.
I will sit down and actually write a real review at some point. But, my goodness. All the emotions. And this final sentence? It resonates oh so much.
Okay, I need to go hang out with this little monkey so he doesn’t confuse Ms. Rachel for his mama.
I’M JOKING.
Happy Monday <3
