Interview’s in 3 hours! But I’ve already planted myself at a Starbucks across the street – to make sure that I’m not even a second late. The school district’s site is literally across the street from Stanford University. I can SEE it from the parking lot. Reasons why I already love this place:
1) I exited the freeway and there were hills upon hills. And HORSES. Not to mention, the sky was clear as clear can be. No smog, no congestion – just pure beauty.
2) So. Much. Green. I drove around for a bit before I got to Starbucks just to get myself familiar with the area. And every street is lined with trees. The kind of trees that hover over the street. And you feel like you’re in this tunnel of green.
3) Everyone rides their bikes! It’s such a relaxed environment. I love it, I love it, I love it.
4) Passed by a church that had a huge sign outside of it that said something along the lines of, “Google cannot help you with every search.” Hilarious. I’m not religious by any means – but that was hilar.
Now, I’m just anxiously waiting for my interview. Luckily, I got my computer to keep me company. And my Starbs to keep me happy (Sarah’s my Starbs name. Don’t judge. It’s a lot easier to say than DIVYA. Then, they require me to spell it. Which holds up the line for people who are anxiously waiting for their cup o’coffee. Which makes everyone angry. And me uncomfortable. So why not save everyone the trouble and just give myself a new name).
