Hello and happy Sunday! I can say happy because I’m not flustered with an insane amount of work I need to do before work tomorrow. Because I don’t have work tomorrow.
One more week of SoCal fun! 🙂
Today, I actually slept in a bit longer than usual even though I went to bed at 8PM.
I guess I’m still recovering from our late night out on Friday.
In the afternoon, I met up with Liang to play tennis. The last time I was on the courts was in JULY. I clearly haven’t manned up and showed up to a Tennis Meetup in the Bay Area. Either that or I ONLY want to play with Liang.
Regardless, it was fun. I was terrible and rusty. But it was still so much fun.
And, thanks to my Polar, I was able to see how great of a workout tennis really is. Who knew running around after a ball would burn so many calories?
And then just when I thought we were done, Liang forced me to hit for a little longer.
After tennis, Liang took me to Banzai Bowls in Costa Mesa. The bowls are different variations of acai smoothies that are topped off with some delicious add-ons. The one we ordered was the Maui Sunrise. Smoothie blend: Coconut milk, Pineapple juice, Acai, Bananas, Strawberries, Mango. Toppings: Granola, Bananas, Strawberries, Blueberries, Coconut shreds, Honey.
The last time I had an acai bowl was in July when we were in Hawaii. It was delicious. The weather today was also perfect for it – and especially refreshing after a game of tennis.
I brought some home for the mother and she seemed to enjoy it too.
Now I’m hanging out with these crazies for the rest of the night.
Tomorrow, I’m meeting Stephen for a not-so-early-morning hike. I can’t even remember the last time I saw him. It’s been way too long and I miss him so much. I’m happy we’ll have some quality time together before he heads back to NY on Tuesday.
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! 🙂

Yay!!!! No work tomorrow!! BEST FEELING EVER 😀 And I love that you’re spending time with family – just like me!
Isn’t it funny that we now believe our parents when they say they feel like they’re getting older – because now we feel like we are getting older (aka: not being able to recoup from a long night out!)

Kind of jealous that you have another week off! Have fun with your family. I don’t think that I’ve ever had a acai bowl but that banzai bowl looks amazing!

I love acai bowls so the Maui Sunrise looks amazing!! Glad the weather in SoCal is treating your well. It’s definitely nice being here in the winter compared to what other people are dealing with. I did an 8 mile run/walk on Sunday for my 1/2 marathon training, and other than that I kind of just chilled.
