Happy TUESDAY! Tuesday is a pretty challenging day most weeks. HOWEVER, when it’s a Tuesday after a three-day weekend, you really can’t hate all that much. This weekend was exactly what I needed – productive, relaxing, and everything in between.
Saturday:
Did anyone else check out the TimeHop home screen on Valentine’s Day? #Hilarious
The cleaners came around 8:15 (seriously. Best investment EVER), so while they were working, I went for a walk around the neighborhood. Can we just discuss how I am NOT the last person to throw my Christmas tree away?
It still smelled like Christmas. I wonder if it had a name like ours?
I wanted to head to Salinas to see Bhabhi, Bhaiya, and Veer earlier in the day, but there was SO much traffic heading toward the coast. The weather has been wonderful, so I completely understand why there were thousands of cars on the 17 trying to make their way to Santa Cruz. So, to occupy my time, I did a little bit of this:
Eventually, I made my way over to Salinas. Even though Veer was fast asleep by the time I got there, I was greeted with his cute Valentine. Best Valentine EVER. <3
I was also greeted with Bhabhi’s delicious homemade chili bar. Nothing beats her food.
Sunday:
I got to spend the entire day with this munchkin. We played Doctor. We played Legos. We played with the balloon. We played ALL the games.
I just love his fascination with all the little things. It reminds me to stop, breathe, take everything in, and giggle just a little bit.
Eventually, he pooped himself out and went to bed. And the adults got ready for some #SNL40 action. With a side of homemade pizza and wine!
Since SNL40 ended up being over 4 hours long, we didn’t make it through the whole thing. Which was A-OK with me. I saw the best part (Jimmy + Justin = best duo of the night).
Monday:
I ended up leaving Salinas earlier than usual to avoid traffic and get a bit of work done. But, before I started working, I wanted to make sure I enjoyed the sun for a bit while getting some activity in.
I seriously think that I am the best version of myself when I get to be outside. Maybe I’ll try to do some of my small group interventions outside this week – the weather is going to be AMAZING! (Sorry East Coasters!)
I spent the rest of the day working, grocery shopping, food prepping, and watching The Bachelor.
Now, I’m ready to tackle this four-day week! 😉
Questions of the Day:
- Do you prefer weather in the 50s or the 80s?
- What did you do for Valentine’s Day?
