Morning!
Ankur’s clinic got cancelled so he’s in the other room, getting Ishu ready for school in all his Spider-Man apparel (thank you, Dadi!).
I’m going to try to type this up as quickly as I can so that we can both take this little guy to school together.
Nothing to report other than THE BIGGEST MONUMENTAL THING THAT HAS HAPPENED IN 2.5 YEARS OF LIFE.
Ha.
Ankur and I left Ishu with Auntie Bella last night and went to the Pentatonix concert.
Now, let’s be clear. I like Pentatonix a lot. But going to see them wasn’t the monumental thing. (Though they were great and I will elaborate). The monumental thing was deciding to have a date night and letting someone else go through the nighttime routine with him.
(We’ve done this before with grandparents in California. But we haven’t done this yet in Chicago. It definitely feels like we are entering a new phase of life!).
We left at 6.
Got back at 11:30.
And trusted that he was in the absolute best of hands.
Even before Pentatonix got on stage, we heard back from Auntie Bella that he had fallen asleep. And it made it that much easier to enjoy the concert.
We went to their “Christmas Spectacular” show and it was the best way to kick off the month of December. I’m in the holiday spirit and my soul is so happy after hearing all the jingles yesterday.
We saw them back in Charlotte in 2018, but DANG is it possible they’ve gotten even better? They’re definitely entertainers. But, also, I loved how their personalities were so GENUINE on stage. They were authentic and cracking jokes and slipping up on occasion, which made them all the more lovable.
OKAY, put a pin in this.
I hear them being done.
So I’m going to sign off. But, concert was great. Even greater that we were able to take the time to do this fun thing for us.
HAPPY FRIDAY!
Sandy says
Love to read that you had a Date NIght! Yay!!
Hope you get more of these fun nights together.
