A couple days ago, we walked over to Burrito Beach for dinner.
It’s a less-than-5-minute walk from our apartment, but it ended up taking a good 20 minutes door-to-door.
Ishu needed to pause at every puddle to look at his reflection.
And when I say, “every puddle,” I mean EVERY puddle.
Even the small amount of water collected in a crack in the sidewalk.
This is what every day used to be like for us.. Toddler-led walks. Pausing to look at anything and everything.
And I think with him in school, he gets to do some really cool stuff. But he doesn’t always get to go at his own pace.
So, since nobody was in a rush, we paused for puddles. Every puddle.
And it makes me smile so big thinking about this memory of my little guy.
My curious little guy who can find entertainment in quite literally ANYTHING.
