Good morning from one tired mama.
We were on our own all day yesterday and Ankur worked an overnight so I was on my own all night with Ishu too. Which wouldn’t really be a problem. Except Ishu’s been waking up at 3:30 these days. And I was dumb and didn’t go to sleep until midnight because I wanted to finish this book.
So now my brain feels real foggy.
I mean, really, it’s my own fault.
You would think that on days I don’t have help with Ishu, I’d take the path of least resistance. Like, embrace the TV a little more. Don’t take on big projects (like washing the comforter in the dang bathtub because it doesn’t fit in our laundry machine). Take advantage of those frozen meals I purchased for DAYS LIKE THIS ONE.
But, no. I don’t make smart moves like that.
I think, “Hey! No childcare today! What else can we add to the plate so that when 7pm hits, you wanna pull out your hair and run around screaming?”
Oof.
Anyway, this living room is a flippin’ tornado right now. Our sink is full of water beads. And I’m pretty sure my comforter has dried but it smells like cilantro.
So that’s cool.
I’m just gonna go get me some coffee and close my eyes so I can’t see the mess around me.
Two questions:
Don’t I deserve fancy coffee today? (This is a rhetorical question. I’m definitely getting the fancy coffee).
And what the heck do I do about my comforter?

My mom used to sprinkle her comforter with baking powder. After it had been there for a while (I can’t remember how long) she would vacuum it turn it around and do it again. When she was done she would hang it outside.
