Good morning, good morning!
We had a relatively warm weekend over here and my insides are dancing because SPRING IS COMING! I mean, technically, according to the calendar, it’s already here. We just need Chicago to catch up.
On Friday, the temperatures were lookin’ like they’d be reaching the 70s so in anticipation of that, we decided to keep Ishu home from school.
And, man oh man, did we go hard.
We met up with Victor and fam in the morning at Lakeshore East Park. And then Jenn and the kiddos met us there after lunch and we continued playing hard for a few hours. And then shifted over to Bennett Park so the kids could finish off the day there.
Out of the house for 10+ hours and my kids were T-I-R-E-D. Riyu slept through the night (after one night terror) which never, ever, ever happens. And, on Saturday, Ishu was STILL feeling tired. So much so that WHILE at the park, he asked if he could go home and take a nap.
On Sunday, we had one of Ishu’s friends over for a movie date.
And we took it easy for the rest of the weekend.
Ankur and I watched Interstellar on Friday night (and I stayed up ’til midnight, WHO AM I?!). And then on Saturday night we watched the first episode of Wednesday. I’m a fan, already.
I’m also currently reading this book (for our Streeterville Mamas book club) and this book.
I was planning to do a CGWW walk on Saturday morning, but kids make it real hard to get out the door on time, y’know? I’ll do the next one without the kids. Ha.
I’ll be back tomorrow with a post of my March reads!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
