I’m sure you may be tired of all the Ishu updates, but I need to write them down somewhere so I never, ever, ever forget.
He’s growing so much and I want to remember all the cute, little things he does.
If you follow me over on my Facebook page, you may have seen this new thing that he picked up from my Nani. Any time you say, “Oh my God,” he puts his hands to his head, just like her.
Yesterday, while we were FaceTiming Nani, I asked him, “Ishu, Badi Nani kya kehti hain?” (What does Big Nani say?), and his hands immediately went to his head.
It’s now part of our diaper changing routine.
I run through the animals. Lion, dog, cat, mouse, horse, cow, snake, sheep.
And then I ask him, “What does a bell say?” And his body moves up and down as he says “guh, guh” (ring, ring).
Then, “What does Ishu say?” (Jai jai).
“What does Nanu say?” (crow crow!)
“What does Badi Nani say?” (hands to head!)
“And what does Mama say?” (“muah muah”, as he slaps his hand against his mouth, blowing me kisses).
We do it EVERY time.
You’d think he’d be sick of it by now. But, for some reason, he’s not.
Which is good news for me.
Because I could hear his animal noises and watch our little monkey imitate everything we do all day, every day.
