No Thank You, Chicago

These days, when Ishu’s really angry or emotional about something, he’ll point his finger at you and scream, “NO THANK YOU!”

“NO THANK YOU, MAMA!”

Generally followed by a loud wail.

Pretty much all day yesterday, it’s what I wanted to shout out the window.

“NO THANK YOU, CHICAGO. NO THANK YOU.”

Most days, with a coat on, and my hand socks and a couple layers, I feel like I’ve hacked the whole winter thing. Most days.

But then a day like yesterday comes along. Where your eyeballs just feel completely frozen and you, well, wanna shout out, “NO THANK YOU.” But maybe throw in an eff word for good measure.

Anyway, today won’t be as cold. Thankfully. We’re looking at double digits again. Phew.

Okay, well, my kids are both awake before 6am. SO, this post probably won’t be as long as I intended. But here’s a quick glimpse into our week.
