Some of my work days are so long and exhausting that, after 6PM, I don’t do much else other than crawl into my bed and stare at the ceiling. (Aside from the few minutes it takes to find the bottle opener, pour some antioxidants into a glass, and sip).
This usually results in a crappy day after. No, not because I have a wine hangover. But because I spend little to no time preparing for the next day. So, this morning, when I was contemplating having Cheez-its and peanut butter filled pretzels for lunch because nothing was prepared, I decided to stop the downward spiral.
I pulled this out of the freezer, tossed in some frozen corn, a few handfuls of kale, some chopped up chicken sausage, and topped it off with some Sriracha.
It took a whopping 5 minutes of my time. And I straightened my hair in between stirring. I love efficiency.
But, more importantly, I love that I’m not eating Cheez-its for lunch.
It’s my small win of the day.
And, for hump day, I’ll take it.
Question of the Day:
