Good morning!
It’s going to be a windy day over here.
Hope everyone had a great V-Day! Ankur and I didn’t have any plans. We were just going to have a quiet, normal dinner at home with the three of us. And THEN, he ended up not having to go to the clinic in the afternoon because his attending was home sick.
Which meant we got to have a nice little lunch date.
Every time we walk to Ishu’s school, we pass by D4, this Irish pub and cafe. We’ve ordered food from there once before. And I’ve met up with a friend for a drink there. But I’ve always wanted to go sit inside their cozy room in the back, with a fireplace and an entire wall filled with books.
So we did just that.
It was so nice to just sit and enjoy each other’s company without all our attention being on our little guy.
But then it was also pretty great to go pick him up at the end of the day. He came running out of the building with his hands full of all his Valentines.
I captured it on video and I think it’s one of my favorite videos to date. (I mean, yes, I do say that about most of the videos I record).
When we got home, we went through all his Valentines one by one. I think his two favorite things were 1) his box of Nerds and 2) a kaleidoscope! He watched the Curious George Valentines Day episode (on repeat in this house right now) while I had a quick meeting. And then we finished off the day – the three of us – doing our usual thing. Puzzles. Reading. And then falling asleep at 8pm (me and Ishu. Ankur stayed up to watch the basketball game).
And that’s it.
Not a glamorous V-Day by any means. But glad I got to have some quality time with both my Valentines.
Hope you had a great one! <3
