Back to reality.
Sort of.
The kids don’t come back until Wednesday, but we’ve got Data Days today and tomorrow that are going to be jampacked with work that’s gotta get done. I’m grateful for this time without the kiddos to prepare for the kiddos. But, not gonna lie, it’s really going to take me some adjusting to get back to work.
Beth and I are trying to hold onto the Christmas cheer as much as we possibly can. Last night, we made a delicious, comforting chicken-and-rice casserole.
And followed it up with some homemade, fresh-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookies.
And, on Friday, we’ll be hosting a “Long Live Christmas” party at our apartment. So we can have one final hurrah with Fir-Ell Williams. The Grinch Spritzer (from last year’s Holly Jolly X-mas Party) will be making an appearance.
We are in so much denial.
Questions of the Day:
- What’s your favorite comfort food?
- Favorite Christmas cocktail?

I’m not ready for reality yet, either! We almost missed the school bus this morning because I’m so not ready. Can’t we just have another month or two of Christmas break?
Favorite comfort food is cookies, always cookies, especially perfect chocolate chip ones like that picture of yours. I can’t keep them in the house or else I will eat them all!
