Hello! I meant to log on yesterday, but we had to hurry off to the airport to drop off the Hodel fam. It was so nice having them here this weekend and I was so happy to spend Sister’s FIRST Mother’s Day with her!
Between Ishu’s and baby Maya’s schedules, we spent most of the trip indoors. But this trip was def not about sightseeing or doing too much. We just wanted to spend time together and that’s exactly what we got.
We DID go on the Architecture River Tour. And, before that, got some deep dish. So that’s a pretty solid Chicago experience, y’know?
And we spent a lot of time watching The Office. And discussing our respective parenting experiences. On Friday night, I even pushed bedtime to 11pm. I mean, that’s LOVE.
On Mother’s Day, we made breakfast at home. Eggs and pancakes.
Plus a special delivery from Salinas. Which someone attacked RIGHT AWAY.
After the kids’ naps, we left the apartment for a bit to walk along the riverwalk and enjoy the warm(er) temperatures.
And spontaneously decided to sit down and have an early dinner at one of the restaurants along the water.
It was a quick and simple trip. And I’m so so happy they made the trek out here (first trip since the pandemic started!) to see us.
I already miss this little toothy baby smile and can’t wait ’til we see her next!

It must have been a magical weekend for all of you.
Such beautiful captures.
These babies will love reading about it and seeing these pictures when they are old enough to read and
see these special moments.
Good thing Div you write these blogs. These are your life long memories of such fun family time and
seeing the family grow up and grow old together.
xoxo
