Now that I’ve got yesterday’s post outta the way, I feel like I can resume blogging regularly again. I definitely had a case of blogger paralysis. So much had happened and I didn’t know how to summarize it up in one beautiful post. But, I realized how much I missed my routine of blogging about each day. All my thoughts. All my feelings. And, man, do I have a lot of feelings.
So I just summarized up our spontaneous wedding the best I could so I can carry on with my daily rambling sessions. Like, for example, talking about this past weekend. Our weekend was packed full of events and travels and activities. And, though I felt the painful effects of our overly eventful long weekend on Tuesday morning, every bit of it was oh-so worth it!
Friday:
We celebrated Ankur’s birthday at Orchard City Kitchen in Campbell. We fell in love with the place back in October when we went there for Veronica’s birthday. And, just like last time, it didn’t disappoint. The weather was perfect to sit outdoors on the patio.
And the food was fan-tastic.
The company – even better.
Thank you all for traveling all over the bay on Friday night MDW traffic to celebrate this crazy kid.
He’s definitely worth it!
Thank you, also, to Anpreet for this sweet package filled with ALL our favorite things. It’s not my birthday but I definitely reaped the benefits of being married to the birthday boy! Wine, chocolate, Cheez-its, the works. <3
Saturday:
The next morning, we drove over to San Ramon to celebrate with family and got a few hours of down time. We were up bright and early the next morning to head up to Eureka!
Sunday:
It might have been a silly decision to drive up to Eureka for less than 24 hours. But, the drive itself wasn’t too bad. The company made it extremely enjoyable and the scenery was so worth it.
We decided to hike at Patrick’s Point. I love when forest meets ocean. I think it’s the most beautiful thing. So many vibrant colors all in one picture. Something that makes northern California the winner of all.
We took some pictures on top of “Wedding Rock.” Ironic.
After our mini hike, we went to The Lighthouse Grill in Trinidad. And had a mashed potato savory cone. It was…interesting. I like cones. And I like mashed potatoes. I’m not sure I loved the combo but I’m glad to have experienced it!
Monday:
We woke up and got a quick breakfast before heading back home!
Thanks to the family, we had important plans for Monday night!
Yes, we went to the Warriors game.
The western conference finals. Game 7.
Steph Curry and I became BFFs. We have a lot in common.
Shots.
Get it?
Anyway, I’m just working my way through the NBA folks. First, Kobe. Now, Curry.
Up next…Harrison Barnes? (I’m so in-the-know. Are you impressed?)
Now, we’ve got two more days to get through before the weekend! I’m really looking forward to this weekend because we’re headed to Lake Tahoe for Jen’s bachelorette party!
Can’t wait!
Questions of the Day:
- What’s your favorite NBA team?
