Hello from our quiet living room!
It’s nap time and I’m digging in to the kids’ leftover tortellini for lunch and popping in to the blog after who knows how long?
I don’t know.
We’ve had a lot going on over the past few weeks. And I haven’t been able to come on and share snippets because every time I whip out the computer with Riyu around, it’s always, “RIYU DO IT!!!” and “RIYU PU-PUTER” and sometimes it’s just not worth the battle.
So it’ll be another photo dump of all my favorite pics over the last two weeks.

These kids.
They make me so tired and they make me come alive. All at the same time.
Yesterday, instead of our typical brewery meet, one of the book club girlies hosted us on her rooftop. And it was so delightful.
Canopy over our head, chatting about EmHen’s new book, the L train passing by during rush hour, fish bowl cocktails and snackies. All of it just made me so grateful that I landed in this space.
If you’re looking for friends you can be your authentic self around, look in places that you LOVE BEING IN.
It’s not a novel concept.
It makes a lot of sense.
And, yet. This idea eludes so many of us.
I’m just so so so so much my happiest when I’m surrounded by my fellow book lovers.
Last night felt so special.
We’re talking about doing a book-cation of sorts where we pack up for the weekend and just READ the whole time. And I, for one, cannot WAIT.
That being said, I got lots of books waiting on me. So I’m off to read for however much longer the almost-2-year-old boss will give me!
Bye!
Love love my books. Maybe why I love your kindred spirit ..teacher , mom , special ed advocate ,and BOOK LOVER
