A few weeks ago, I tried this new-to-me energy drink before I visited Stephen in SF. I had high expectations since I am obsessed with Mamma Chia’s other products (like their regular beverages and Chia Squeeze packets!)
Having done the whole Rockstar, Red Bull, and Monster gig back in college, I’ve gotta say that Mamma Chia doesn’t have any of those nasty side effects that those other drinks tend to have. In fact, in one bottle of Mamma Chia Clean Energy (10 oz.), there is:
- More than an entire day’s worth of Omega-3s (2500 mg)
- 25 percent of one’s daily fiber (6 grams)
- 4 grams of complete protein
- 90 mg of natural caffeine (about as much in an 8 oz. cup of coffee!!!)
- Twice the antioxidants of a cup of green tea
- Calcium, powerful antioxidants and valuable minerals
- 120 calories
And, wonderful nutrition facts aside, they are really quite delicious and refreshing.
