Another round of all the things that Ishu’s been saying that I find freaking ADORABLE. I like to write them down somewhere because he grows out of it so quickly – as he is able to say more sounds – and I never wanna forget the cuteness of his attempt to say all the words.
Currently, he is in the “MAMA CATCHOO ISHU” phase. He wants me to chase him around the house. And he says “Mama catchoo Ishu!” He actually thinks “catchoo” is the way to say it. And this is because I don’t correct him.
I know all the speech therapists out there are rolling their eyes at me because we – as parents – should probably be modeling the CORRECT way to say the thing. But I’m always running around saying, “ISHU CATCHOO MAMA.” So much so that the other day, he did a whole “Frosty the Snowman” thing with me. Where he said “MAMA CATCH ISHU.” And then followed up with, “Noooo, is not ‘catch’ Ishu. Is CATCHOO Ishu.”
That statement might only make sense to me and Ankur. It’s fine.
Just scroll on by.
I just need to remember these little darling, sweet moments because they really do fly by so quickly.
He also does this other really cute freakin’ thing. When I say, “Ishu, Mama, and Papa are a…” he responds with “MAM-O-EEEEE!!!!” (family!).
He really does make me wanna pull my hair out one minute and then tugs on my heart strings the next.
SUCH AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go catchoo this early riser who is inching back to his early morning ways.
Have a good one!
