Good morning, friends!
It has been one of those weeks already:
I love me some Dixie cup.
Especially when it’s filled with this deliciousness:
Beth and I made some Grinch Spritzer for our Holiday party last week. It was delicious. Limeaid in a can + 7Up + green food coloring + vodka. Lots of vodka. I’m a fan.
Aside from the Grinch Spritzer, it was REALLY fun to mishmash all of our friends together for a night of ornament-making, food-eating, drink-guzzling, Heads-Up-playing kind of fun. Teaching is hard. Teaching in December is extremely difficult. The kids are so eager to have two-weeks off and, with the few days off in Thanksgiving, there just hasn’t been a ton of consistency for the kiddos.
Hence the need for Dixie cups and Grinch Spritzer.
But I am SO appreciative to work with such a wonderful team.
This is Brianna, our school psychologist. She gets to work with all the same crazies that I work with (plus MORE since she’s at two other school sites). So fortunate to have met her and even more fortunate that she was assigned our school because her and I work WONDERFULLY together.
Some friends preferred the crafts. Some friends preferred the food. And then a good chunk of friends enjoyed playing Heads Up in the kitchen.
I love holiday parties.
And I love Dixie cups.
[…] Kirstin hosted a “grown-up dinner party” for some of us at her apartment in San Francisco. I say “grown-up” because there were no red solo cups involved at this holiday party. […]
