Happy (almost) Thanksgiving!
Earlier this morning, we drove to Hayward to meet Jen, Ila, and Juna at a playground. We met them at this same playground two years ago back when Ishu was a little wobbly toddler. How time flies.
They brought rainbow bagels for breakfast. We took turns holding the baby. The kids went up and down the bumpy slide over and over again. Fun was had by all.
The drive, however, was not the baby’s favorite.
On the way over, the baby was PISSED. Within the first 3 minutes of the drive, he started wailing.
So Ankur climbed into the backseat and sat between both the kids.
Riyaan continued to cry for about 15 minutes.
Eventually, the screaming stopped and I looked into the rearview mirror and asked Ankur if he had fallen asleep.
Ankur nodded at me.
I smiled at him and said, “You’re a real winner. You’re COOL like a CUCUMBER.”
Ishu chimed in and said, “AND JUICY TOO!”
Ha.
He makes us smile and laugh on the regular these days. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.
He’s also very into telling jokes these days.
He really liked the one his Jiya Didi shared with him the other day.
“What does the baby corn say to the mama corn? WHERE’S POPCORN?”
Hahaha.
(But he also thinks the word “Baboon” is really funny so if you say that over and over and over again, he’ll laugh hysterically. So, really, everything is a joke to him if you say it in a certain way, y’know?)
Alright, I’m off. Both the babies are sleeping. Ishu fell asleep at 5pm while watching Ms. Rachel. Not quite sure if this is a nap or a nighttime sleep. But, here we are.
Have a happy happy Thanksgiving! 🙂
