Good morning!
This is going to be a short and LATE post because 1) we didn’t do too much this weekend and 2) Ishu is awake and he keeps throwing books on my lap demanding I read to him. So I keep pausing to read with him. Because he’s the boss of me, I guess.
I really LOVE watching how he’ll sit with books now – on his Nugget in the corner of the room – flipping through pages independently. And since he’s got some of the books memorized, I can hear him call out certain words on certain pages. My favorite being “snuggle puppy” and “grasshopper.” He pronounces “grasshopper” as “gas hoppaaa” and I LOVE it.
Of course, when Mama pulls out her laptop to do anything (in this case, write this blog post), he’ll look up at me and walk over to throw the book in my lap. As if he’s asking me who I choose between my laptop and my baby. Ha.
It’s either that or he wants to pounce on the keyboard.
Either way, this is why we’re coming in late today.
But, not much to report here other than Ishu and I went to Goebbert’s Farm this weekend!
We went for the pumpkins and stayed for the corn pit.
I was hoping to take some real cute pictures of him in this plaid outfit. But, of course, we went to the corn pit FIRST and he came out looking like he was covered in a thick layer of dust.
So, I guess we’ll try again later. Maybe next year. Ha.
This place was massive. From zoo animals to a jumping pillow to wagon rides to TWO corn pits and fire trucks, there were so many things for kids to do and experience.
Of course, we spent most of our time in the corn pit. I tried not to think about how gross it was to have all those bare feet running around in there. Face-planting in there.
I’m usually not that grossed out by this kind of stuff. But, let’s just say we DEFINITELY scrubbed Ishu hard during his bath that night.
That was our big outing of the weekend. It was raining on and off on Sunday so we didn’t make it to the playground. Hopefully we can make up for it this week!
Hope your weekend was filled with all the fun, fall things. And if not? WHAT’RE YOU WAITING FOR?! October is almost over and then it’s time to celebrate CHRISTMAS!
Yeah, you heard me. Christmas.
Hope you have a great week ahead!

That corn pot looks amazeballs. The pandemic has sadly ruined me where I think about germs all the time now but when it comes to kids I’m all about just letting them soak a bit longer on the tub lolol. I wonder if we have something like that here??
OMG no! I saw a countdown to Christmas the other day and it freaked me out. How?! How is it so close already??

Even on your low key days it seems like you are able to get some fun into your and Ishu’s life.
Keep it up. You are the bestest coolest mommy ever. We old mommies (aka grandmas) have so much to learn from you dear Divya. xoxo

That looks like “kids’ heaven’… what a fun outing!
