Good morning from Newport!
We’ll be spending the rest of the week here since Sister and Drew are in town.
Ishu had such an action-filled day yesterday. We reached in the late afternoon and he frolicked around the backyard with his Masi and Masu. He eventually tuckered out and, while he was napping, Sister and I went on a walk together.
Most mornings between 7-8ish, Sister gives me a call. Her and I are both on our walks at that time (me in Moreno Valley or Newport and her in San Francisco). I’m, obviously, not working this year and she walks before work so it’s a perfect way for us to connect each day.
It was extra special yesterday getting to do a walk with her in person and not over the phone.
(Even more special that it ended in froyo).
When we got back home, Ishu was up and ready to p-a-r-t-y. And by “party,” I mean he was ready to go outside. He’s always ready to go outside.
So we all trekked to the park uphill and watched him swing and climb the play structure.
He was the boss of all of us so he made the call when it was time to go home by simply walking away from us all screaming, “BUH BUHHHHH” while waving at us.
And, naturally, we all followed him.
The typical 5 minute walk home ended up being closer to 20 minutes because he wanted to touch ALL the leaves, ALL the flowers, ALL the things. (Similar to the playground experience a few weeks ago).
He’s such a happy, happy kid when he’s outside.
We’ll probably head out in a little bit for a walk with everyone this morning. And you can probably guess which one of us is the most excited about it. 🙂
Question of the Day:
Who is your favorite walking partner – on the phone or in person?

Would it be weird if I said I don’t like to talk at the same time, I walk haha I’m the type to walk miles and miles just listening to music or a podcast but of course, if SkyMaree and EllieRae are with me then SkyMaree will talk my ear off and EllieRae just like cousin Ishu loves to stop and touch everything.
