I am blown away and so, so appreciative of all the kind messages and support I received after yesterday’s post. I’m happy to report that there is nothing wrong with me except for the fact that I’m a huge hypochondriac who WebMDs all her symptoms.
The cardiologist informed me that there was nothing wrong with my heart structurally and that the pain I was experiencing in my chest was, most likely, a muscle spasm. He said there was nothing to be concerned of at this time and that I should continue monitoring my blood pressure and find healthy ways to combat stress or anxiety. I’m already looking into meditation and yoga classes back up north for when work starts up again!
He also told me that I could continue drinking 1-2 cups of coffee. At which point, I got overly excited and I may or may not have hugged him a little bit too hard. I know Starbucks has missed me these past two weeks…
Thank you all, again, for your sweet and thoughtful comments. 🙂

After the appointment, I drove up to Long Beach to have dinner at Sam’s. She marinated some chicken in lemon-pepper marinade and it was delicious.
Sam and Vee (Sam’s husband) live right next door to Vee’s family (their backyards are connected!) so we also got some delicious Korean BBQ that they were making next door.
She also stopped at Susiecakes for dessert and we shared a slice of their red-velvet cake.
Will fell asleep shortly after I got there, but I got to hang out with Bella. I can’t believe how big they’re both getting!
I miss them so much – it’s always so hard to say goodbye!

Let’s chat!
What do you do to relieve stress/anxiety?
My meditation peeps – I’ve never done this before. Should I do this solo? Look for a class? Sit at a park? HOW DOES IT WORK?
Squirrelly says
go hike.
I’m also taking a Mindfulness class. I keep falling asleep
