Good morning!
I kept Ishu home today because he requested a 3-day weekend and why the heck not.
We’ve got a weekend where we’re spending a lot of time outside of the house. So, I figured we could have a cozy day inside the house.
Right now, he’s pretending to be Santa in his “workshop” (AKA the baby’s activity center that I probably need to donate now) decorating Santa and Christmas tree stickers.
And the baby’s right here, next to me. Listening and dancing to an Elmo Tonie.
Last night was our BR&B book club. We met at Off Color Brewing to discuss Meghan Quinn’s holiday book.
I am usually all about finishing a book before the book club. But I just couldn’t do it with this one. And now, after hearing everyone talk about it, maybe this’ll go into my DNF pile.
I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. The giddiness I feel on my insides when I’m surrounded by book people is a CLEAR SIGN from my body that I’m right where I need to be.
We did a little White Elephant exchange of books and I ended up with Darling Girls. We’re still voting on January’s book, but we’re going to meet at Off Color Brewing again. It feels nice to be inside a cozy brewery when it’s ACTUALLY FREEZING balls outside.
I still haven’t had a chance to upload my November reads and reviews. I will work on that this weekend hopefully. But I am starting to pause after each book to write a quick review. So, hopefully, moving forward, it’ll just be an easy copy and paste right into here.
Okay, Santa’s tired of working, I guess. So I’m going to sign off! Be back on Monday!
