Hazy and Crazy

September 16, 2015 by eatteachblog Leave a Comment

Last night was our monthly Women’s Circle and Janet graciously hosted us in the back of her cute little house. I was definitely looking forward to Circle this month since I’ve been feeling pretty worn out and exhausted with work/life/all the things.

Every time I leave Circle, my mind is in a better, healthier, more productive state. The women + the goddesses are just such a powerful duo.

Kate was telling us how she bought a set of goddess cards for the yoga class she teaches to do a quick ‘check-in’ with everyone before class. She said she’s been using them herself since there’s a lot going on and it allows her to really focus in on things when everything is a little bit hazy and crazy. (Not her exact words, but I’m totes going to start using ‘hazy and crazy’ to describe things because it’s fun to say).

I get that. I do that. I carry the goddesses with me in my bag for moments when I need a little more clarity or a little more focus. I don’t think it’s a dependency. I think it’s simply a way to pause, reflect, and think about things a little more mindfully.

I’m thankful for a place that allows me to do just that when life becomes hazy and crazy. And a place where all the other women feel comfortable enough to open up and share their thoughts and reflections. I’m thankful for this group of ladies who have, over the course of two years, become my family and my support system up here. Love, love love. All the love.
