Here’s the thing.
I know I post a million and five pictures of my kids. But you can’t even get mad. Because this blog is called Eat TEACH Blog. Lord knows I do a lot of eating, so I gotta even it up with all the teaching that gets done too.
For example, I teach kids how to play air guitar.
I teach them how to take selfies. I even started the lesson off with a “Back in my day, we had to take selfies with our ARMS. None of these stick shenanigans.”
And I teach them that it’s OK to talk to themselves every once in a while. Just toss a hand puppet on and it becomes totally acceptable. (Side note: humans are so weird. Why are puppets a thing?)
Okay, now back to the eating. I got my Full Circle bag yesterday morning and, in this week’s shipment, I got some jam from Happy Girl Kitchen.
It tastes SO fresh. A little too sweet to be honest, but if paired with some unsweetened almond butter and cottage cheese, it’s quite the special treat. (Another side note: Make sure to eat in the privacy of your office. When kids see you eat this mixture, they think you’re REALLY uncool).
It was a perfect snack to have in the midst of all the meetings after school today. It held me over until dinner time at Amanda and Nikita’s. Nikita and I popped into Whole Foods real quick and grabbed a few sides to pair with the leftover quinoa dish I made this weekend! (By sides, I mean WINE).
After dinner, we all went for a walk around the neighborhood to get ALL THE STEPS ON ALL THE FITBIT CHALLENGES digest our food. So I didn’t end up leaving their place until later than I thought I would.
Yes, there was a bottle of Sriracha and a Starbucks cup in my cupholders last night. Two of my FAVORITE things. I would have included a glass of wine, but that’s some illegal shit and I’m pretty straight edge, y’know?
Happy Hump Day!
Questions of the Day:
- What are your favorite mix-ins for cottage cheese and/or yogurt?
- What would I find if I were to be snooping around your cupholder?
