I’m sure that you’ve heard of the age-old mantra that goes “breakfast is the most important meal of the day”, and while there’s been a lot of controversy over how true that saying is, I’m one of the people that still believes it’s very important to have a nice, balanced breakfast every single day. Without it, I always feel really groggy and inefficient at work, almost as if my body is running low on fuel.
However, it’s not always easy to come up with interesting, easy and healthy breakfast ideas that can give you this kind of energy and not make you gain weight or ruin your health, so to make it easier for you today I want to share a couple of ideas.
1. Chia Pudding with Almonds & Coconut
Ingredients required:
- 1 cup of vanilla almond milk
- 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon of matcha powder
- Shredded coconut
- 1 tablespoon of sliced almonds
Instructions: Take a medium-sized jar and combine the chia seeds, matcha powder and almond milk. Seal it and give it a few good shakes to make sure the chia seeds don’t stick, then seal it up and leave it in the fridge overnight. Then all you have to in the morning is to give it a few more shakes and add the shredded coconut and the almonds on top and you have yourself you very own healthy chia pudding. Enjoy!
2. Berry Yogurt
Ingredients required:
- ½ cup of berries (you can use any kind)
- 1 cup of yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of mint
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Instructions: This one literally couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is take the yogurt, the lemon juice the honey, put it all in a bowl and mix it all up. Top it off with the berries and the fresh mint and you’re done! This meal takes mere minutes to make and is loaded with all the healthy simple sugars you need to start your day, plus some yummy protein from the yogurt.
3. Apple Pie Oats
Ingredients required:
-
- 1 cup of almond milk
- ½ cup of oats
- 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice
- 1 apple
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
Instructions: Take a 16-ounce jar and put the apples (preferably cut into cubes), the brown sugar, the spices and just a pinch of salt inside of it. Seal the jar, shake it around a bit, then open it up again and put some plastic wrap on top. You’re going to be putting the jar in the microwave, so make sure to poke a small hole in the plastic wrap so the steam can escape. Microwave for 2 minutes, then check if the apples are soft enough for your taste. If not, put them back for another minute, and then add in the oats and milk. Stir the mixture up, leave it to cool for a few minutes and place it in the fridge overnight.
4. Yogurt Parfait with Peaches and Cream
Ingredients required:
- 1 cup of yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of flax seeds
- ½ cup of peaches
- 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon of honey
Instructions: Take the ginger and grate about a tablespoon of it into a cup filled with yogurt and honey. Stir it up well until the mixture becomes rather homogenous, then add the peaches and flax seeds into it. Done!
5. Quinoa Bowl
Ingredients required:
- 1 cup of cooked quinoa
- ½ cup of almond milk
- ½ cup of strawberries
- ¼ cup of pecans
- Balsamic vinegar
Instructions: Take a large bowl and combine the quinoa with the milk. Put the mixture in the microwave and let it warm up a bit for 1 to 2 minutes. Give the mixture a nice stir and top off with the strawberries, vinegar and the pecans.
Conclusion
As you can see, it’s really not that hard to come up with delicious recipes for tomorrow’s breakfast, as long as you have a little imagination. It doesn’t have to take a ton of ingredients or a lot of time, and you can still have a healthy meal in the morning that will be able to provide you with the energy to adequately start your day. Stay healthy!

My favorite is number 5 but only for the weekends. Because during weekdays, there is not enough time for breakfast. But if I am able to, then I have no problem eating during weekdays too. Yogurt is too sweet for me that’s why I avoid it. However, some good and valuable suggestions.
