Mondays.
Oh Mondays.
They’re challenging. And, for that reason, they are the perfect day to consult the Goddess Cards.
Jen and I left work around 5PM and drove straight to the yoga studio. Before we went in, we pulled out the cards, set our intention, and chose a card [at random] that would set the tone for our class. My question/intention was: “What do I need to know going into this week?”
Message from Athena:
I’m happy to assist you; however, you’ll be most thrilled when you consult your own inner bank of knowledge. For I assure you that this situation is already resolved and that you have access to all the wisdom the Universe supplies. To access this wisdom, you must quiet your mind. Surrender all worries and concerns to the almighty power of the universe. Close your eyes, and note the thoughts and feelings that come streaming into your consciousness. If you like, you can ask me to give you a signal that you’ve heard your inner wisdom correctly. But have faith. I assure you that you have heard, and that the guidance brings you and your loved ones very good news indeed.
Various meanings of this:
- Stop procrastinating.
- Stop giving away your power to others.
- Trust your gut. Don’t second guess yourself.
- You are correct.
- Notice recurring ideas and take action on them.
This was already a very appropriate card for me to pick. At this moment. During this week in particular.
But, to make it even more powerful, our instructor had set a very similar intention for our class. What I love about her is that her motto is: “If you can do it in here, you can do it out there.”
I constantly second-guess myself. In yoga. In life. In all the things. And I think having this intention sitting in the forefront of my mind was extremely helpful as I attempted to do every pose. I also think it will be helpful to refer to as I enter this week and power through the next few months.
I need to trust myself. And remember that I have a wealth of knowledge. That I don’t always need to seek out others’ approval or support. That I can take initiative and know that I am enough on my own.
Man. Goddess cards and yoga intentions. Mondays just got a little more manageable.
Questions of the Day:
- Who/what do you turn to for motivation on Mondays?

goddess cards
oracle cards
I have friends who swear by these—-it may be time for me to explore.
