Happy Friday.
No exclamation. Because that means my summer is coming to an end and we are NOT happy about that over here. So, we’ll just avoid chatting about it and, instead, carry on with our regularly scheduled blog post.
1) Yesterday, I got my blood drawn in a hangry state.
Fortunately, there was some leftover Subway in the fridge. So nobody got hurt.
2) I had to take the Strengthsfinder Assessment as part of our pre-work for PD next week. I laughed out loud when I saw this question.
Yes, tears are very much a part of my life. You’ll see them on Sunday as I prep myself to go back to work on Monday morning.
3) I can never be a “work-from-home” kind of person. The jar of peanut butter gets too much action when I’m home.
4) I’ve been on a Bananagrams binge this summer. So much so that when my dad left this REAL banana on the counter, I had to do a double take because I thought it was my Bananagrams pouch.
5) I recently discovered the Do Not Disturb feature on the iPhone. Normally, I have a lot of anxiety when I don’t look at my phone for an extended period of time. I worry that my family needs to get a hold of me and, because I always put my phone on silent, I need to be looking at my screen CONSTANTLY to make sure that I didn’t miss a call from them.
Well, thanks to this little feature, I’m going to have a nice little separation from my phone. SO, if you need me, either 1) Figure out how to be one of my Favorites. Or 2) Call two times in a row. Your call will go through. But then you’ll also lower your chances of being one of my Favorites by calling me so many times.
6) Yesterday was the first time all week that I actually hit 11,000+ steps on the Fitbit. I’m normally super competitive. You can thank the food poisoning for that one.
7) I’ve been listening to Tulum music non-stop this week. I’m in SO much denial. Take me back PLEASE.
8) Yesterday, I got my nails done. I squeezed in RIGHT as they were closing the store.
Well, I’m pretty sure the lady who was doing my pedicure gave me an EXTRA long foot massage because she didn’t want to help out the other ladies as they cleaned up the salon to go home for the day. Getting your nails done at the end of the day has it’s advantages. Pro tip for you. You’re welcome.
Now, it’s time to roll out of bed and go eat breakfast. Preventing the hangry from resurfacing.
Have a good one!
Questions of the Day:
- Tears are a part of your life. True or false.
- Who is on your Favorites/Speed Dial list?
Nitasha says
1. Tears are a part of my life. TRUE. (This is precisely why we’re twins)
2. Favorites (in order): Brother, Mom, Dad, Masi, Hema, one of my cousins, followed by 4 of my closest friends
