Well, here we are. We made it to Friday. I didn’t think it was possible because it’s the first 5-day work week I’ve had in a while. Luckily for me, I don’t have to get used to that schedule since we have No SCHOOL on Thursday and Friday because of Parent-Teacher Conferences. I think I’m a happier human when my weekends a little bit longer. This should be the norm.
Anyway, on to your regularly scheduled post.
- It’s the first weekend in a while where I won’t be traveling anywhere or have any set plans. I love weekends like that. I see a hike in the near future. And wine tasting. Obviously.
- I’ve been using this Vitamin Pillbox to help me remember to take my vitamins. It really just helps remind me whether I’ve taken my vitamins for the day. Because, before I had this, I would take my vitamins and then forget 5 seconds later and then reach for the bottle again.
I’m not a vitamin addict. I’m just getting old and forgetful.
3. I started jarring up a bunch of things in my cabinet to make it look a little more organized. After dumping my trail mix and almonds in, I realized I ran out of mason jars. So I went online and ordered some more.
And then when they got here, I realized I had nothing else to jar. How embarrassing.
Luckily, Soup Club 2.0 is going to start up soon, so this will be perfect for that!
4) I’m using my Keurig this morning after 3 weeks. I’ve either a) gone to Starbucks for coffee or b) made chai in the morning or c) murdered someone because of the lack of caffeine in my system.
I’ve forgotten how fun I am when I have coffee IMMEDIATELY after waking up.
(I’m skipping around the apartment singing “A is for Apple, B is for Ball” in case you’re wondering what ‘fun’ looks like over here.)
5) A few years ago, I read the Happiness Project and attempted to create my own project out of it. I did that for a few weeks and started developing better, more productive habits. It’s fun to look back on that post because I realize how some of those tangible daily goals have stuck around long-term. So, when I found out that Gretchen Rubin had a podcast, I immediately jumped on board.
I’m only on Episode 3 but I can already tell that this is going to be my new addiction.
Now, I’m off. To change. But also to skip around some more and sing alphabet songs. Because coffee.
Happy Friday!
