Happy Friday!
I’m posting this a little later than usual because I took the day off and I didn’t need to wake up at 5AM. I’m heading out to the airport in about an hour and will be flying to SoCal for the weekend to celebrate Randy and Lara’s wedding! I’m excited to have a little extra time there to hang out with the fam too.
But, before I go, I’ve been on a roll with the blog posts so wanted to post the usual Fun Facts Friday.
1) On Gretchen Ruben and Elizabeth Craft’s podcast, Happier, they discuss being an Owl vs. Lark on one of the episodes. Are you a night person or a morning person? I am, without a doubt, a Lark. I love my mornings. It’s where my brain is most active and when I’m most productive. And it completely sets the tone for the rest of my day.
2) Speaking of their podcast, I’m just loving it so much. I highly, highly recommend it to people who are looking for ways to develop healthier, happier, more productive habits. I definitely can’t incorporate every little thing, but just being exposed to new ideas and suggestions has been so helpful in creating my own habits.
3) Yesterday, I went to my first college football game in a LONG time. UCLA vs. Stanford. Where we got our asses handed to us.
Nevertheless, it was fun to be back in that ‘college’ atmosphere. The people watching was quite entertaining for me. Probably more than the game itself.
4) On Tuesday, we got to see Aziz Ansari and Amy Schumer perform at Oddball. They were hilarious. I was surprised that he didn’t talk about his book at ALL. But also a little relieved because I haven’t finished it yet. But can we talk about how I stayed up until midnight? On a school night? I’m so young.
5) However, because I was so exhausted the next day, I came home and had this for dinner. Don’t. Even. Judge. It was really efficient of me to go for the already-shredded cheese. None of this cutting-it-off-the-block business. Too much effort.
6) I’m a Grinch when it comes to Halloween. I hate it. So much so that I’m planning a trip to Big Sur over Halloween weekend so I don’t have to be here and celebrate it. But, I have to admit that having a pumpkin outside my door is really fun. I love his weird face. His name is Weepy.
OK, it’s time for me to get my stuff together and shower before heading out!
Happy WEEKEND!
Questions of the Day:
- Do you name inanimate objects like I do? [e.g. pumpkins and Christmas trees?]
- Shredded cheese or cheese-off-the-block?
- Are you an owl or lark?
