Friday, Friday, Friday!
Most people have the day off today so now I feel a little less guilty for getting to lounge around on a weekday. (Let’s be honest, I don’t feel all that guilty).
Fun. Facts. Time.
1) I have been spoiled rotten from the moment I got home last week. I don’t think I’ve cooked for myself once. Unless you count the couple of times I poured cereal into a bowl.
2) Jen got me Goddess Cards for my birthday! Seriously the best thing ever. I have been using them NON-STOP!
It was especially helpful for me since I missed this month’s Women’s Circle because I’m down here for the summer. So having my own set of cards has been SO nice.
I’m getting everyone to pull cards with me. I told my Mom she had to touch each of the cards so the Goddesses “can get to know her” before she settles on picking one for the intention she’s set. My mom proceeded to talk to each of the goddesses as she flipped through the cards. She said, “Hi,” “Hello,” “Howdy,” “How’s the weather over there?” And then she squealed when she saw Lakshmi. Because obviously.
When asking about what I should know for the upcoming month, I pulled the Butterfly Maiden. Which I think is extremely appropriate for me right now. Going through a lot of changes, but very very positive ones and I’m feeling pretty fortunate about it all. <3
Man, I just love the goddesses.
3) The babies of the family got me this sweet, customized gift that I love oh-so-much. A pillow with names of all the family members. And a wine glass with my name and “29 Reasons to Wine” etched in the glass.
Also a perfect gift.
4) I’ve been love love loving the sunsets every night. I can sit and stare at this view forever.
5) A few days ago, my dad was reading on the laptop and called me over to ask if I “had a Twitter” and “can we take a selfie and send the tweet?” I was very confused. Until I saw what he was reading.
We did NOT end up taking the selfie. Because my dad was worried that the Prime Minister wouldn’t like my hair since I hadn’t combed it yet.
6) My caffeine obsession has been fueled by some wonderful gift givers. Thank you to everyone who has supplemented my card so I can fill my caffeine quota every day! <3
7) Very much looking forward to this weekend. It’s a special, special, special one. So, obviously, there will be fireworks to celebrate.
Hope you all have a safe and festive 4th of July! 🙂
Questions of the Day:
