Good morning!
I was very excited to wake up this morning because, late last night, Sister and Co. flew into town and we will be spending all weekend together.
Starting today!
I took another day off [seriously, becoming the professional PTO-taker] to get the weekend started early.
I’ll be away from the computer most of the weekend and will report back on Monday with a recap, but before I sign off, here are some fun facts from the week!
1) I’ve been swearing by my oil blends this week. InTune for a little focus. And Clarycalm to keep my monthly moodswings and cramps to a minimum. They work. [Side note: some of the kiddos do NOT enjoy the earthy smells].
2) I’ve also been swearing by these dump-and-devour meals. It’s even better when you can throw all the ingredients in one huge tupperware, shake it up, and eat it directly out of there. Serving spoon and all. Saves water and time.
3) One of the kids discovered that the popcorn he was eating was called, “Pirates Booty.” It took about 10 minutes to get him to refocus on his work because he was so obsessed with the word ‘booty.’
4) Bhabhi sent me an article that helps break down the statistics and data around turbulence. One of the tools they recommend for anxious flyers is the SOAR app. The G-force feature is helpful to use when the plane is extremely bumpy to help remind you that the plane can withstand all the crazy shaking.
5) I’m hosting my first ever Dinner for 12 Strangers tomorrow and I’m pretty stoked about it. 17 strangers (because I like to break the rule of 12) gathered together in my teeny apartment to celebrate our Bruin pride. Can’t wait!
Now I’m off to go snuggle my family and, perhaps, force them to walk to Starbucks with me.
Have a fantastic weekend!

I hope you have a fabulous time with your family this weekend! Starbucks time included!
I used to be a teacher before I had my daughter (7th grade, English) and I’m sure that they too would have had a hard time refocusing after the booty was discovered/brought up.
