It’s Friday! And this post is being published later than usual because my sleeping schedule is so off [thanks to jet lag] so I wasn’t up early enough to get this out. But since it’s my favorite post of the week, I wanted to do it. Also, I’ve been blogging daily (minus weekends) so I want to keep it up!
1) I almost forgot it was Friday because my schedule has been so off lately. From Vegas to Japan to San Diego to Orange County, I’ve been all over the place physically (and mentally!) and I, for one, am very excited to get back to a routine!
2) I have spent the past few days in San Diego for the CEC convention (the same one I went to in San Antonio two years ago). This time around, I was so much more prepared and knew what sessions/seminars I would be attending way ahead of time. I really enjoyed two seminars in particular. But more on that later.
3) I haven’t done yoga for the past three weeks, so I am excited to get that going again starting on Monday. With my cool new yoga mat.
4) I read several books on the flight to and from Japan.
- Ghost Boy: Our book club book. I liked it. Worth reading – especially if you’re in education/SpED.
- Maude – I wanted our book club to pick this book. They didn’t. But I read it anyway. And I LOVED it. I highly recommend it.
- Attachments – A fun fiction read. Finished it in a day. I love reading fiction.
- The Rosie Project – Another fun fiction read. The main character has Aspergers. And the author did a great job at illustrating his character. Loved it.
- The One That Got Away – Quick read. Kind of twisted. But it was free to “borrow” through Amazon Prime. And I needed something to read that wasn’t depressing like Unbroken (which I still haven’t finished). Although this book is still depressing. But it’s fictional. So I felt less emotional.
5) I had Coffee Bean for breakfast this morning since it was right next to our hotel. Their breakfast is better than Starbs. So much so that I forgot to take a picture until it was already half eaten.
I ordered a “grande” iced coffee along with my breakfast sandwich. And didn’t realize my mistake until the lady asked me again what size I wanted. And then, I got all flustered and said I’M SORRY – I’M JUST ADDICTED TO STARBUCKS. How embarrassing.
Now, I’m about to go lie down. And probably won’t get up until tomorrow. Have a super weekend. I know I will.
