Good morning! I had so much fun hanging out with my parents over the past two days. Sadly, they are leaving us today to head to New York for the weekend. I’m trying my hardest not to get too bummed out but it’s always hard for me to say goodbye!
I’m going to make this post brief so I can spend the last remaining hours cuddling them real hard before they go.
Hope you all have a great Friday!

1) Yesterday, my dad and I did a daddy-daughter hike at the Fitness Trail.
We ventured off trail (because, obviously, my dad’s a rule-breaker), climbed some rocks, and hung out with some deer. He loved the trails and couldn’t stop commenting on how green everything was. And I loved getting to show off this new home of ours!
2) We followed up our hike with a trip to the farmer’s market and Subway.
I could eat Subway all day every day. I love it so much – and announce this love so often – that Ankur and I received several Subway gift cards as wedding gifts. Hilarious. But SO practical. Especially in Harrogate where the only place we’ll go out to eat is Subway! Thank you to those of you who fueled my Subway addiction even more!
3) It’s no secret that I love pizza.
I loved it as a child. I love it as an adult. But my obsession truly began when I lived with Beth. We would have weekly pizza and Bachelor-in-Paradise parties and, since those good ol’ days, I’ve been implementing at least 2 homemade pizza nights a month, if not more. Well, look what showed up on our doorstep yesterday. BethyV sent us pizza supplies! I’m so excited to put them to use (tonight). Beth was always the one that rolled and kneaded the dough while I cut up the veggies. Now with my cool new pizza tools, I’ll be able to handle the dough just like BethyV! Thanks Beth and Jimmy-Jam!
4) Yesterday, my mom read the “I’m Fat” post and made my dad read it. Together, they both tried to figure out how to comment on my blog.
My dad got a little distracted with the tennis match that was on. (To be expected).
But the end result made me giggle. I love my Papa.
Speaking of which, I’m off to go hug and squeeze them a bunch. Hope you all have a fantastic three-day weekend filled with delicious food and relaxation!
Question of the Day:
- What’s the best pizza you’ve ever eaten?
- What are you doing for the long weekend?
