Good morning! We made it to Friday! I’m looking forward to some fun and relaxation this weekend. And, possibly, another trip to Knoxville depending on the weather. We’ve also got a Wine and Paint night planned with some of the other spouses on Saturday night so that should be really fun! (Just an FYI, I’m going for the wine part, not the paint part. I don’t have a creative bone in my body.)
I’ll be back on Monday to display my artwork. But, I imagine, it’ll look something like this.
Now it’s time to get some food in my belly (since I had froyo for dinner last night and I am s-t-a-r-v-i-n-g).
But, before I go, let’s do some Friday fun facts!
__
1) The owner of the local (and only) froyo place, Tasty Time, and I are going to be BFFs by the time we leave this town. (Yes, this is a fact). I’ve gone twice this week already and I don’t put it past us to go again this weekend. The last time I was there, I had my cups on the scale and pulled out my credit card to pay and he says, “We have a new payment system.” I started to get worried because I never carry any cash with me and I really, really wanted my froyo. He said, “People around here think it’s a strange system but I kind of like it.” So, then I think to myself, “Oh. It’s probably an app or something I can pay with. And people think it’s strange because nobody pays with their phones here. It’s the countryside!” And then he whips out a dinosaur head from under the counter and grabs my credit card with it and says, “New payment system.’ I almost died. Initially out of shock but then because I was laughing so hard.
2) We’ve got a box of Hello Fresh and Blue Apron coming this weekend. So, maybe I don’t need to do any grocery shopping in Knoxville because we’re covered on the meal front. We’ve got some great vegetarian dinners planned for the week ahead! (I’m not vegetarian. I just hate cooking meat.)
3) I go through garlic faster than the average human. I buy a few of these jars every time I’m at the grocery store and I think we go through about two of them each week. Garlic. On. Everything.
4) I had my first IEP meeting for one of the little boys on my caseload. Holy cow – it’s a whole different ballgame here compared to what I’m used to. The paperwork is different. Parents are different. Priorities are different. It’s definitely taking some getting used to but, again, I’m really grateful for this experience because I’m learning a lot and I’m developing a whole new set of skills as a result.
Now, it’s time to feed me before I run out of time.
Happy Friday to all! Hope your weekend is restful and fun!

So did the dinosaur swipe your card? Lol funny 🙂
I’ve been on a burrito thing for the longest time. I love a good burrito for dinner. So, it will likely be that.

I use so much garlic. It’s delicious! I haven’t done a wine and paint nite yet but they look so fun. I want to do one ASAP.
