Happy Friday! Normally I’d say something along the lines of, “No difference to me – every day is Friday in my book!” But summer is over because I officially got myself a job. I start Monday. I can’t believe how quickly this all happened but I’m extra grateful to have accepted a position as a 4th grade SpED teacher at an elementary school nearby.
I am definitely going to take advantage of the day today by organizing the apartment and running all my errands because, come Monday, I’ll be tied to a schedule again. (Not that I’m complaining! I miss having a routine. And, you know, a purpose).
Finally locking down a job is probably the funnest fact of the week but, in typical Friday fashion, here are a few other fun facts from the past few days.
1) I discovered a farmers market up the street from us that’s open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I was in a hurry coming home from the gym yesterday so I pulled over for only a few minutes, but I snagged these goodies for now and will probably go back again tomorrow for some more fruits and veggies.
2) Last night, we went to a potluck with some of the first and second years. It’s been fun getting to meet everyone and I imagine we will all get real close, real fast.
3) We ordered this intelliARMOR screen protector through Amazon for Ankur’s phone and it looks brand new again.
Not to mention it protects against radiation.
I’m happy with my Otterbox but Ankur prefers a way to protect his phone without it becoming too bulky so he’s loving the screen. (You can buy one for 20% off using this promo code: INTELLI20)
4) I’ve been snacking on roasted veggies non-stop. The Kroger we go to always has great deals on pre-cut veggies so I just open the packaging, dump them on a tray with olive oil and seasonings, roast them, and go to town.
5) This buddy comes to visit us a lot. I refuse to go outside on our balcony/porch right now because there are so many bugs around due to the humidity. But, it’s nice that someone’s taking advantage of our beautiful balcony!
6) We got this special package from Mama and Papa Albert yesterday.
Mama Albert is so talented and artsy. She made this winter blanket for us. Thank you so much for this special gift!
7) Sometimes when I’m indecisive about food (always), I leave Ankur multiple choice questions on the fridge.
8) I got the doTERRA touch kit in my last shipment and I’m so excited. I broke into it right when it got here.
9) I made cauliflower rice/stir-fry (as a result of Ankur’s multiple choice test) and had some extra WW points to spare at the end of the day. So, naturally, I thought having a glass of wine with dinner would be a nice way to use up those points. But I was also trying to be classy and find a good wine to pair with our meal. Google to the rescue.
10) Saw this online and I needed to share. Love it.
Now I’m off to go to the gym and get some things done before Ankur comes home this evening!
Hope you all have a fantastic Friday!
Questions of the Day:
- Do you buy pre-cut veggies or prefer to cut them yourself?
- Do you plan out your meals for the week ahead of time?

Yay! Potlucks are the best (as is accidentally finding farmers markets! :P)! + I love the multiple choice thing, haha. I would so do that if I lived with someone! :O
And oh, #10. So true.
I cut them myself because non-pre-cut is usually cheaper! 😛 I like to prep all my meals for the week because I tend to not have much time to make food if I don’t! :O

I’m so excited for you finding a job. You love the children., and they love you.
So enjoy your pictures. Is that a turtle peeking out the right side farmers market picture?
You are settling in so nicely in your new town. 🐢

Yes! Isn’t it so cute?
We live in a teeny-tiny little town now and it’s definitely taking some getting used to, but we are settling in nicely and everyone is just so sweet around here. It’s hard not to love it!
Thanks for always leaving such loving, encouraging comments – makes my day so much happier! Hope you all are doing well <3 Miss you guys!
