1) We have one more week of work. ONE more. I can see the light.
2) I never really knew the difference between yams or sweet potatoes. I clearly like them both a lot.
Bhabhi sent me this. Which I thought was helpful.
3) Southwest sent me free drink coupons in the mail this week.
They know the key to my heart.
Either that or they know that I need something to keep me from melting down when I’m thousands of feet up in the air.
3) We had two fire drills this week. On two consecutive days. Faulty alarm.
Hanging out in 95 degree weather is not my jam.
But watching the Kinder classes play Ro-Sham-Bo (as they chanted “Ro-Sham-poo”) made my life.
4) I’m officially signed up for Team in Training.
I’m excited to train with a really supportive group of people. Our first track workout was on Tuesday and I left feeling so inspired and READY for this training season.
5) I made these sweet potato tacos for breakfast the other day.
They look a whole lot better than they tasted. The sweet potatoes were hard and ended up in the trash and I definitely made a stop at Starbucks for a coffee + spinach feta wrap.
6) This week is Week #5 of clean eating. I haven’t been as strict regarding food and my body can tell the difference. I thought I would re-introduce certain foods so that I could gage my body’s reaction to it. Turns out, when you re-introduce ALL the things you eliminate ALL at once, it’s hard to pinpoint the specific food that causes you to feel like crap.
7) We had Women’s Circle on Wednesday. Some new ladies joined in this month (well, they joined in last month, but I wasn’t there) and they were really nice and fun to chat with!
The theme for food was: FRESH, light, and summery. So, so good.
And, after we all checked in with one another, we decorated some cupcakes that Emily made.
Holy cow. So good. I normally don’t like frosting all that much, but I think the combination of it being homemade and not eating sugar for so long officially made this THE BEST FROSTING I’VE EVER HAD.
8) Wednesday was Cupertino’s last day of school. So, I went to go visit some old co-workers while they had some karaoke fun at Kyoto Palace.
9) I’ve been recommending Molokai to every single person that is looking for a book to read.
I have lent my copy of Molokai to three different people. If you haven’t read it yet, I HIGHLY recommend it.
10) It’s been 5 months since I first signed up for a subscription to Full Circle.
It has seriously been one of the best investments I’ve made.
