Happy Friday all! I can’t believe it’s raining outside. This week’s been gorgeous so I’m a bit surprised, but I guess we could use a little bit of rain over here in California. So no complaints on my end.
Random fun facts of the week:
1) I’ve been coconut crazy this week. In addition to all the coconut things I bought this week, some parent volunteers are selling coconut waffles (Pandan waffles) to fundraise for our school. It’s the first time I’ve ever tried them before, but I LOVE THEM. I also love that they’re green.
2) Yesterday we went to downtown Willow Glen after work for one of my co-worker’s birthdays. We stopped by Aqui for a few swirls and then walked over to Opa for dinner. I don’t have tequila as often as I used to (#college), so I may have the slightest headache this morning.
Tiffany’s the big 3-0 now! I loved spending time with her (outside of work!) and LOVED hearing stories about baby Tiffany from her mom who flew out from Pittsburgh. Birthdays are my absolute favorite. I know I’m hitting my late 20s soon and I should be over it by now, but I just love celebrating my friends and sharing stories with the people who love them just as much as I do! 🙂
We ended up chatting for quite a bit and the restaurant staff started cleaning up around us as an indicator that we had overstayed our welcome. Oops.
The minor headache I woke up with this morning is worth it! So much fun last night! 🙂
3) Ashley recommended this probiotic supplement while she was here last weekend. Supposedly she hasn’t gotten sick since she started taking it and God knows I could use something like that in my life, so I started taking it myself! We’ll see how it goes.
Too bad it can’t get rid of this already existent cough of mine.
4) Lately, I’ve been getting my packages shipped to work instead of my apartment. I’m at work more than I’m at home, so it just makes sense?
5) Speaking of packages, I fell victim to those ridiculously aggressive Facebook ads. I browsed through the Sole Society website ONCE and, since then, advertisements for their products have been ALL OVER my browser. I ended up buying this bag:
I just love big bags that could basically house a baby elephant.
5) I have never really been a HUGE fan of Girl Scout cookies. But, if I had to choose a favorite, I would ALWAYS go with Samoas (I’m loco for coco, remember?). And I would then proceed to laugh in the face of those silly people who went crazy for Thin Mints. And then, two days ago, I tried one of my roommate’s Thin Mints that she put in the freezer. Today, I would like to apologize to all the people I’ve laughed at. Frozen Thin Mints are INCREDIBLE. Thank goodness they are no longer selling cookies. I don’t need another addiction in my life.
6) A few weeks ago, Stephen introduced me to Sam Smith’s music. (Also a sidenote: I just googled him to find a video to share on this post and found out he was born in 1992. That’s sick. I’m old.)
These are my two favorite songs of his:
7) I am heading to Napa this weekend with my favorite! I haven’t seen Gina since July (when I saw her for a brief moment while I was in Vegas!) and it’s the longest I’ve gone without seeing her since we first met in 2004. I have been looking forward to this trip for so long and I am so excited to be reunited with my best friend.

Happy Friday! 🙂
