Happy FRIDAY! Happy, happy Friday!
It seems like it was JUST the weekend. But I’m not complaining. Not one bit.
Moving right along.
1) We didn’t end up having Book Club last night – most people were sick or couldn’t make it for some reason or another. So we pushed it back to next Thursday. Some people still met up to make dinner together. So Book Club became Pizza Club.
This actually works in my favor because now I have an additional week to finish the book. In other news, does anyone else think this blog should be called EATPIZZATeachBlog?
2) Sometimes I tell people I make cookies from scratch. When really I just break the cookie dough along the already-pre-cut lines and put them on a cookie sheet.
Don’t judge me. It’s not like I’m pulling out Chips Ahoy and stacking them on a plate. Breaking cookie dough apart takes effort. (And a lot of self-control because all I want to do is eat ALL the dough).
3) I got some $2 bills for Chinese New Year yesterday. I store all the $2 bills I receive in my sock drawer. Never to be used. Hot commodity.
4) The Vietnamese families at our school planned an incredible homemade feast for the staff members yesterday.
We are the luckiest.
5) UniCamp is starting it’s own version of Dinner With 12 Strangers. Basically, it’s a real fun way to meet up with UniCamp Alumni that live in your area. The dinner I’m co-hosting on Sunday is with people I already know, but it will be nice to re-connect after so long! 🙂
The only drawback is that I have to drive up to SF on Sunday night for the dinner. I wanted to host one down here in the South Bay, but apparently not enough people live down here. I don’t even understand. We have parking lots down here. That are free to park in. What’s not to love?
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
Questions of the Day:
- Are you more of a city person or a suburb person?
- What are you looking forward to this weekend?
