Good morning!
It’s Friday and I’m back in Harrogate! The conference yesterday was really great and, though it was targeted at school administrators and superintendents, I felt as though I learned a lot. It was especially nice to be in a room with people who were so passionate about education. I think it helped pick me up out of whatever slump I was in earlier this week.
I don’t have much on the agenda this weekend, but I am looking forward to spending some time outside before the weather gets too cold! Before I sign off for the weekend, though, here are some random, fun facts from the week! Have a great weekend, friends!
__
-
I’ve had Mexican food three nights in a row.
We chased the taco truck around on Tuesday. Katya and I went to Chez Guevara in Knoxville on Wednesday. And, before I left Knoxville yesterday, I picked up food from Mexico Lindo to bring home for dinner.
- While waiting for said Mexican food, I popped into Old Mill Bread Company next door.
I picked up some freshly baked rolls to make sandwiches on for the week! It took all my self-control to keep from buying ALL the bread. -
My goal was to listen to every single Presidential episode before Election Day.
But I’ve only made it to Truman. Fun Fact about him? The “S” in his middle name doesn’t stand for anything. It’s just “S.” - This is the soy creamer that I put in my coffee (when I make it at home).
I first fell in love with it back in January of 2013 when Jen brought it with us on our trip to Big Sur. Since then, it’s been a staple in this household. Every time I drink coffee, I’m brought back to that cozy little cottage that we spent so many special days! - 9 out of 10 times I heat something up in the microwave and I go to take it out, I always leave the microwave door open.
This probably happens for the same reason that I take a bite before I walk it over to the table. I’m always just TOO excited to eat.

Questions of the Day:
- What’s your favorite cuisine?
(I could eat Mexican food every day, obviously) - How do you take your coffee?
- What podcast are you currently listening to?
- Share a fun fact about yourself!

I can’t count the number of times I left the refrigerator open 😀
My favorite cuisine, anything with chicken really
Coffee? Plenty of milk
Podcasts, I haven’t had the time, and I feel so bad about that
Fun fact – I’m really really scared of drugs when I’m sick but I love injections
Lol, happy weekend! 🙂

I’m pretty sure that I could just live off of salsa. My fave Mexican food is ceviche, though. I pretty much am in heaven when we visit Mexico!

1) I can’t pick just one favorite cuisine! It varies depending on my mood. Mexican food is definitely the most comforting though, since I am Mexican-American. The holidays are the best with all the tamales and different caldos (soups)! Yummy 🙂
2) I take my coffee decaf with tons of creamer and a good amount of sugar in the raw.
TGIF! Have a great weekend, Divya!

You’re right! I definitely can’t pick one. Although, this week has definitely been Mexican. I always love Indian (if my mom makes it!) and you can never go wrong with Mediterranean! But pizza is my all-time favorite food. So, yes, it’s difficult to narrow down! To sum it up, I LOVE FOOD!
Shari says
How funny. I always leave the microwave door open too and then turn around and almost slam into it with my head! We need to be more careful! : ) Have a great weekend!

And im actually planning on writing about podcasts im into -my fave will always be Grammar Girl, she helps me out a lot. But The Wedding Planning podcast and Serial are cool too.

I listen to four podcasts. Two for sports and then two for my website that my partners do. They’re silly. Waiting for the train and strangeful things.

Mexican food is definitely a favorite, but I could eat eggs, plantains or sweet potato and avocado every single day and still not get sick of it! And as for my coffee…black! Whether hot or iced, it’s black – no sugar, no cream!

I’m super clear about my favorites. I was traveling from Orlando over the weekend and I had two lay overs. I wanted to eat at Chiptle/ Qudoba. I didn’t find it at the first lay over and I stayed hungry until the sencond lay over. As soon as I got off the plane, first thing I did was, ate a burrito bowl.

Got to grab that creamer. I buy most of my groceries at Trader Joe’s, but haven’t tried the creamer. Traders is also my go-to for nabbing taco toppings because I too could eat Mexican food every day.
Hey Sharonoox says
I could eat spicy Indian food everyday. I love spicy food. But I could also eat eggs and tofu everyday. I usually take decaffeinated coffee triple triple!
Tatyana says
This is great! I’m not a huge fan of Mexican food, but I do love spicy foods!
If I had to pick a favorite cuisine, it would have to be Italian food, specifically pasta with white sauce.. yum!!!
When I’m not feeling lazy, and decide to actually press the start button and wait for my coffee to brew, I take it with a flavored creamer, and two spoonfuls of sugar.
I don’t typically listen to podcasts, so I don’t have an answer to the last question.
I loved this post, and love that you have questions of the day. It’s super fun!

I eat sushi about every single night – lol! Either that or salmon, NO JOKE – so I def do not judge your Mexican habit 🙂

I have to say Mexican food is my favorite food, when I’m at home I make my coffee with a little coconut oil and coconut milk (it’s a mocha coconut milk at Starbucks), I listen to several podcasts – always Happier by Gretchen Rubin, Upstanders and when I have time Everybody’s Got Something from Robin Roberts and Nicole Antoinnete’s Real Talk Radio. Fun fact about me? I have the ability to remember the smallest details of my clients and friends lives – seriously – I can tell you all of their birthdays, anniversaries etc… also who wore what at a meeting…. I don’t eve try to do it. (Sorry for the rambling response).
eatteachblog says
Rambling responses are always welcome! I used to listen to Gretchen Rubin’s podcast, but found that it’s become very repetitive lately! I liked the first 20-30 episodes though!
Blair Villanueva says
Hahaha its kay to eat the same food for 3 times (or more) if its so delicious! I did it too 🙂
Michele says
I love Italian and Mexican foods about equally–but I tend to eat Italian more. I take my coffee light and sweet (non sugar sweetener and the 30% Almond milk). I do occasionally purchase half and half! Nothing much going on this weekend–thankfully–I hope!
Janine Good says
Can I just say that I love the style of your blog and the questions you pose your readers! I love PHO and will eat PHO anytime 🙂 I take either cream or milk in my coffee, but if sugar is put in my mug by mistake, I won’t touch it and it will get sent back in a restaurant for a new cup! I just cannot stomach sweetener in my brew 🙂

Thank you! You’re so sweet 🙂 I’m with you on the sweetener thing! I LOVE sugar in anything else. I just don’t like it in my coffee for some reason!
Annemarie LeBlanc says
My favorite cuisines are Italian and Mexican. I just can’t get enough of them! Every dish is so flavorful! When it comes to coffee, I like mine black. Sometimes I crave for sweetness in my coffee so I go for a latte. A fun fact about myself? I don’t eat chicken. (by preference, not because I am allergic to it) Back in high school, my friends tried to hide a piece of chicken under a pepperoni in my pizza. I found out about it and I literally felt sick to my stomach.
Sandy Budhraja says
My fav cuisine is Thai Food. Hot with small green chillies.
I take my coffee with half spoon coffee and non fat milk. No sugar.
Podcast – never heard any.
Fun fact about me……… Enjoying my Saturday night at home for a change. No party this weekend.
Love reading your blog… specially enjoy the comments from All your readers.

I add a little bit of honey to my coffee just to sweeten it a bit. If we have a Mexican restaurant here I would definitely eat there a lot. I love Mexican food as well. When my husband and I were in college we would eat at the Mexican place at least 2 or 3 times a week sometimes more.
