Happy Friday!
Last Friday with my kiddos. I’m going to try to keep it together. Thank goodness I never wear make-up to school. Or ever.
I’m looking forward to the weekend ahead! My Saturday plans include Jen’s bridal shower in the morning/early afternoon and a wedding to attend in the late afternoon/evening. But, aside from that, we don’t have too much going on. Which is perfect because we need time to pack up the apartment before next week.
Which leads perfectly into my only fun fact from the week…
I’m moving. I’ve been a Bay Area resident since 2012 and, though 4 years doesn’t seem like a large amount of time in the grand scheme of things, it will always be my home. It’s where I began my professional career. It’s where I met some of my closest friends. It’s where I’ve had some of the best experiences of my life. And it’s where I fell in love.
And it’s for this reason – the falling in love and getting married bit – that we’re packing up and moving out of the state. Ankur starts school in July so we’re shipping our things (and our selves) out to Tennessee.
We leave on the 26th of June. And I have to be out of the apartment by June 18th.
So you can imagine all the clutter and chaos that is present in my life right now. There are so many things scattered everywhere because, by the end of the work day, I’m too emotionally drained to pack things up. Every time another box gets packed, I tear up a little bit.
So. Many. Emotions.
But, despite all that, I’m excited about this new adventure. I’ve never lived outside of California so it’ll be entertaining to watch me try to navigate life in the snow and humidity. But I’m up for the challenge.
Especially cause I’ve got this crazy kid with me every step of the way.
I’ll be back on Monday.
Likely with a weekend recap that involves a lot of tears and giggles and wine.
Have a great weekend!

Good luck with the big move! I moved from PA to AK 2 years ago and while it was a huge adjustment, I loved getting to know a new place! Moving totally sucks but just know that the end result will be worth it 🙂
